Everyday Travel App

Everyday travel app is a project developed by the students at the University of Essex, in partnership with Visteon UK and Essex County Council. The application is meant to assist the users that have to travel between the same places every single day by allowing them to save their preferred routes and inform them in real time when there are incidents on such routes.
The app features consist of (but not limited to):

  • Login system
  • Favourite place search system
  • Favourite journey system
  • Real-time incident information

I first took responsibility in Android application maintenance and feature development. After a while I assisted in web server and iOS maintenance (for short period).

As hobbies

SheePao app

This application was developed during the very first COVID-19 hits and I was having trouble locating reasonable price eggs. So I tried to make an app so that people can point out where to buy eggs, for how much and how many of them left on the store.

This is developed using Flutter, took around 2-3 days to have:

  • Adding where to get eggs, also with how much & how many left
  • Seeing where to get eggs

This project has not continued since then. I very much like its idea and would like to expand it into general local product tracker.

Unnamed map app

This application was developed during Tencent hackathon 2018 with a group of other 4 people. It was meant to be a 'map-based' diary and checklist for travelers. The main functionality includes:

  • Create lists of to-visit places
  • Once inside (or nearby) such places, confirm visited
  • Write a small note about the visited places

This project has not continued since then. Google itself has also released a similar feature to the map as well....
